@verafx: Dude! I am honored! Thanks for the plug on Facebook, lol. And that is a definite improvement; it makes him more appealing, and more Sonic-looking. I feel so influential. *bathes in glory*
This book was sitting on a table in my house, and I was like, hey, here's a better example of what I meant about the eyelids:

(Because the shape is more similar to your Sonic's than Fox's.) I like how they sort of point downwards in the middle; it makes it more natural-looking with the shape of the eyes.
@Gloria: No offense, but you are being unreasonable. You took about a week and a half to reply to his asking for your Deviant page, and now you are mad because he didn't reply to you the same day you posted about it.
I mean, I have been feeling somewhat bad about "posting over" your posts, but this just sort of happens sometimes on forums. The concept of "threads" makes it seem like it will be one linear conversation, but in practice it often turns into multiple threads of overlapping conversations, even if those multiple conversations involve some of the same people.
But I recently was in your shoes on a different forum and I got annoyed at first too, so I know how you feel. I'm just saying, I don't think you need to instantly break all possible ties with this project because of this. It's clear that you have something to offer in terms of your animated character skills, so personally I would find it sad to see you give up on him so soon. But it's obviously your decision.
Instead of just asserting that his models lack "even the most basic character design principal," why not draw some sketches of how you would change his models based on what you know? (keeping in mind, of course, that he is going for a slightly more realistic look than most Sonic material.)
