Anyway, earlier today, I got a chance to watch the premiere of the new "Sonic Boom" show on Cartoon Network. And it was good. Not great, but still pretty good.
The first episode was mixed at best; which is typical for a pilot episode. There were some good scenes between Sonic and Tails and the action scenes were nicely done, but most of the jokes felt flat and the pacing was kinda odd. Overall, not a terrible episode, but it could've been better.
Thankfully, the second episode was a major improvement. The pacing was better, the plot was more engaging, and the jokes were funnier. Had it not been for this episode, I probably wouldn't be as invested with the series as I currently am.
I guess the biggest surprise for me was seeing some soul back in the characters. While still a jokester, Sonic shows more emotion and feels much more human than before; showing general concern for his friends and taking heavy responsibility for their safety. After a series of lackluster games that played it insultingly safe by having little-to-no character development, this was a much-welcomed change.
Overall, it may not be as engaging as SatAM or "Underground", but it's much better than AoStH and "Sonic X" in my opinion. I'd recommend giving it a watch. Who knows? You may like it too.

) and I...surprisingly liked it. Its not SatAM but its infinitely better than all the other Sonic showss made. Definately top 2.
) while Eggman is still a star in a different way ("evil ham" - in more ways than one!). Only Sticks seems out of place - they could have rolled up that with Amy's personality, but then again Amy would be a real psycho! It would be better to have one level-headed female as well as Amy and/or Sticks. So I suppose you cant have everything. Plus the voice acting is good for a change!

I mean no offense to any possible Justin Beiber fans on here, but this episode just rubbed me the wrong way. With that said, however, even this episode had funny moments ("Knuckles. Stop tearing pages out of the calendar.").
