I'm almost possitive someone had a dice roll system set up somewhere on here for something. basically you have a throw down. example, Hakuzo I'm using you as my sparing partner if that's okay.
[DePhole swung with a mean left catching Hakuzo in the ribs, the kitsune quickly shook it and countered with a knee to the stomach. The badger was winded but not out. He bear hugged Hakuzo and tossed him to the side. Nightfox rolled with the landing and looked up just in time to see a flash bang grenade coming his way.]
(dice roll or something of the sort inserted here)
with the dice roll rule, if it was 5 or higher, your character got the upper hand. In this case DePhole is my character so if I were to roll a 5 or higher then the scenario would go something like.
[The grenade blinded Hakuzo, who began to swing wildly in the hopes of defending or landing a hit. DePhole ducked under the crazy arms and landed a savage upper cut.]
this would be a major blow, that would cause some real damage, Health Point (HP) would be established for both characters and depending on strength and weaknesses this would drain HP. though I've never played Dungeons & Dragons I'm assuming the dice roll rule is a bit similar.
had the dice roll been 4 or below, your out come would have been something like this.
[Hakuzo shut his eyes and turned just before the grenade went off. He kept his eyes closed tricking DePhole into believing the attack had worked. The badger was large and clumsy, it was easy for the kitsune to follow the foot steps by sound. As DePhole edged closer, Hakuzo quickly etched a rune into his dagger. Just as DePhole was upon him, Hakuzo spun to face him, delivering a fierce blast to the chest, sending the bulky mobian to the ground.]
in this case DePhole would earn health damage. so you see any petty attacks can be written out how ever you want, with who ever hitting who, but when it comes to the heavy hitting there would be some system in which you may or may not succeed, thus no one dominating at all times. maybe even some system like the pokemon card game or something, don't really remember how that works. anyway as I'm thinking about it the dice roll thing may have been on another site. and you could also rig it so if your attacker wins, they write the next bit, if the deffender wins then they now become the writer. or you could always run with Risk rules, both parties roll or choose numbers or what ever we establish, if the attacker has the high number (or what ever) he wins if the defender has the upper hand, he wins. in the case of a tie, the defender wins.
so anyway just some thoughts, I guess the only way to get this off the ground is for enough people to be interested, and we should probably have a mediator or ref, anyway looking for imput. good idea bad idea, let me know.
logic is a little prairie home, and we are the Native Americans that have come to burn it down.
