I don't know if a game would be the best gift since we all live in different parts of the world and it might not work with our systems. Region lockout sucks.

And from the looks of it, most will probably buy the games anyway.

@Neon Black: What about something virtual that's cheap and easy to send? Like an Amazon gift card code someone can redeem? Or commission an artist to draw a sig for someone? Or just send an e-card? Long-distance shipping is expensive and I'm going on the assumption that the price of shipping is tallied into the total amount you're willing to spend...?

I'm not sure how redeem codes work regionally though.

Yes, they must be the humorless militant individuals we all imagine they are. Whenever they try to relate to us and have a sense of fun, it's just creepy. Elisto, Gojira, Hazel if she's around, Porpy, and (even though he's been a true bro to me) NeonBlack must give us hell even when we're doing absolutely nothing wrong. As a solid example, here's a transcription of what was said on what turned out to be one of the most awful days of my life just several years ago.

Let that be the most solid example of the type of behavior we should expect. Should things go according to plan, we'll all pretty much feel like crap as many things will be said. It may hurt, it may be tough, it may cause someone to start cutting and eventually seek therapy to turn their life around only to be given more verbal abuse and return to self-mutilation, but I.. I mean we will just have to live with it.

Oh, and can I suggest Superbad: The Drawings as a joke gift?

I should probably mention I've on the fence for long enough about the raffle prize, being for christmas my first thought was a pair of socks, but I suppose I could try a bit harder than that.

What an enterprising winner WILL be getting is a game of their choice that can be ordered off Amazon, and a randomly chosen Sonic plushie. I shouldn't but I know I'm gonna feel so awkward walking into one of these game shops and asking them to get one of these plush toys out.

I appreciate all the concern everyone too, but my finances are pretty solid at the moment. That's the great thing about having a decent-paying job and a minimalist lifestyle.
