Satam project (Need volunteers!)

Hello everyone. My name is Callum irl.

I'll cut straight to the point, our favourite series was cancelled after a cliff hanger on season two some time ago and never completed. Ben Hurst the original writer has given up on it but yet we still find a selection of more hardcore fans still come to sites like these to post their own fan works or just to visit.

Well A knothole resident tried very hard to get his own movie based on satam done and he got further than any other fan had with it. I wish him the best of luck if he continues trying.

It is people like AKR who keep the satam dream alive. However I think it's time we got together and pooled our resources to make a serious grab to get satam back in one form or another.

I have gotten a few friends to agree to help with me so far and would welcome anyone elses help.
What we are trying to do is start but with a simple RP involving as many satam characters as we can.
We will be RP'ing into great depth and after a week or so each time we shall pause and I would like a team of 2-3 to pour through the RP/s and rewrite them to make a story up. A detailed story with the imagination of the RP'rs interwined with the writers.

Then mayhaps a script version taken from the best RP performed.

What we wish to do with these stories and/or scripts is forward them either to Sega of American or Archie comics and see where we go from there.

So what we are looking for is people who can accurately depict a satam character and has a good grasp of the English language to make things interesting.


I want this to be a community project and even if we don't get very far we shall all be contributing to a good cause.

Hello people, my name's Sean.

I am a close friend of Callum ('Specopsangheli') in real life and together, with the help of a few other people the idea that he has breifly explained came to surface. We need a fair few people willing to put in the effort, willing to be patient and willing to put in the work.

As Callum has said the plan of action is split into a fair few stages. These stages will be something along the lines of;
- RP'ing a basic Satam storyline,
- Proof reading the RP,
- Having a select few try to turn the RP into a 'story',
- Re-RP'ing certain section (if needed), and proof reading/writing them into story format,
- Having one or two people read through the 'final draft' of the story and finalising any grammatical issues e.t.c.
- Any other plans.

We're looking for 'volunteers' in most of these sections. Mainly RP'ers who would be able to play a few reasonably complex roles in within the RP. We also need people who would feel comfortable reading through the RP and attempting to turn it all, if not bits, of it into a story. And one maybe two 'editors' to read through the final story and fix any errors with grammar, vocabulary e.t.c. (These people will need to be pretty adept to the English language and have a fair bit of experience).

I understand that a lot of you may like the idea of doing one thing, and not like the idea of some other parts. If you only want to RP then that is fine, you won't be required to stay attached to this project of ours.

There are still a few things that need to be sorted out with the later part of our plan, and a time-line hasn't been forcasted yet, but if we can get the RP'ers to start up asap we can get this brilliant idea underway.

As he has put it, we do need volunteers to get this project going. With the help of the community we can perhaps give something back to the series we all enjoyed as childredn and still do as adults.

Alex Fox, this will be going underway as soon as we have enough people. We haven't come to a final choice of how many we're looking for exactly but I'm thinking about 4 people to take the main parts, and maybe a 2 or so more for minor parts. If there's anything else you'd like to know feel free to ask and either myself or Callum will answer.

so as a volunteer, what would we need to do, how would this work? would we just log on to here and begin? is this strictly SatAM characters only?

Well it will work similar to a regular RP.
Yes it is satam characters only.
In a way we are acting out a show. I will maybe give a template of main things that will need to happen at some point in the RP and the role players will simply RP how they wish, as long as it is what their controlled satam character would probably do for real.

So the RP's will be controlled a very tiny bit but only so a basic storyline is followed. The good thing about this is other role players means there will be chance for fresh ideas and directions we would never have thought about personally.

But good grammar and realistic acting is a must have here.
It can be written in script form like this:

*Sonic tensed the muscles in his legs and began to climb the tree* 'Whoever thought of putting apples up a tree is a...' *he muttered under his breathe from the exertion.*

But keep it neat please. Our editor can trawl through it later but he would appreciate it if proper English is used so he does not accidentally misinterpret what you say.

Lastly please make your posts at least a paragraph long. Describe the characters emotions and surroundings. Go into great detail over everything in the scene. Remember the posts will be used to make up a story!
