Nikolaus spotted Thony and hoped his chance to escape would come soon and was dragged forward.

The SwatBot Commander saw Thony as well and turn to one one the SwatBots guarding Nilolaus.
"You will come with me as we deal with the intuder ordered the SwatBot commander".

And they both activated they wrist blaster and march toward Thony.

"You better let my friend go, or I'll turn you into scrap metal!"

Thony knew even before saying those words that the SWATbots wouldn't stop and hand over Nikolaus. Luckily for him, they were not robotized Mobian, they were good ol' casual SWATbots. Thony took his silver staff, knowing they had an advantage : hit distance. In this case, the orange hedgehog had to be fast to liberate Nikolaus, so distance wouldn't be a problem for long.

Thoughts stopped being in Thony's mind. He began running not in a angry way, but in a concentrated stance. He was far from being a martial arts adept, but he understood how it works : a single hit well calculated is way better than lots of strong random hits, even for robots. Calculations are his speciality after all!

When the bots started firing, Thony dodged them easily. Those metal-heads didn't have artificial intelligence and it showed. Letting his staff flow rapidly, the extended firing arms of the bots were smashed one after an another. Hitting the head may have destroyed completely the bots, but Thony didn't have time for this; Robotnik wanted their heads to have an additional level of protection against physical hits.

Running as fast as he could, followed by now non-lethal robots, Thony reached the two SWATbots holding Nikolaus, hitting the first on the back making it fall on the ground, the second being neutralized by Nikolaus when it was about to fire on our orange haired friend.

"Come on Niko, they're following us, we gotta move out of here! I need to speak to Sally, and fast!"

[Loup]

"Yes i agree and they something big going on and it could mean big trouble unless we don't do something replied Nikolaus trying as hard to keep up with him".

The SwatBot Commander was only slightly damage and watch as the freedom fighter fled.
"All units will not pursue freedom fighters ordered the SwatBot Commander".

And swich a Comm link to Snively.

"Freedom fighters have escape as you ordered Sir said the SwatBot Commander".

"Good work and ready your troops for Operation Victor snapped Snively".

"As you command Sir replied the SwatBot Commander".

Running as fast as they could, Nikolaus from Robotropolis, Thony to Knothole, nothing could stop them. It was a long way to home, but Thony didn't care; his life wasn't in danger, it was his friends' lives and homes that could be destroyed if they didn't hurry.

Thony just thought along the way how Nature was so wonderful. This fresh air, the beautiful flowers and leaves. Coming back from Robotropolis with an emergency news was more than enough to make him realize how lucky he was to live around such beauty. He knew that not every Mobians or Freedom Fighters realize it, but he was at least sure that Sally had this Eden land deep in her heart. She will act as such.

For about half an hour, they ran in the forest, caring not about the noise they made. They finally reached Knothole, Thony grabbing the emergency bells with one hand, as if it was his last day on Mobius. DING-DING-DING!

"Knothole, we have a crisis here!"

Nikolaus exhausted and want over to the water well, while everyone who lived in Knothole came to see what the noise was about.

Princess sally and sonic came out to investigate.

"Did you see anything of interest asked Sonic".

"Snively seem to be building a massive number of SwatBots with flamethrower said Nikolaus".

Meanwhile deep in Robotropolis, a lauch pad open and three hunter killer fighter bomber lifted off the ground and hovered.
Snively watch from his bunker very please with himself to invent such a weapon not like his uncle.

"Aim, seek, destroy ordered Snively as they destroyed they test tergets.

Good work and turn his head to video link to all the war production factory turning out a new army.
One which would be control from the battle computer link up to Snively himself".

"Yep, that looked like flamethrowers, and they had a whole bunch of them......wouldn't surprise me if their production was on top of Snively's priority list.......when we were against Robotnik, at least Sonic was always numero uno on it! "

This little joke just failed its purpose. No one laughed, not even little Miles. War was coming, and everyone knew it. Robotnik wanted before to conquer Mobius, but Snively didn't seem to care about the land, as long as he had Robotropolis to rule.

"Sure thing, we must act soon......"

"You think we didn't know that?!?" Sally wasn't herself totally, we can easily understand why.

"So....Sorry Sal', I didn't want to disturb you......We just need to think about a plan that would work against this new threat. Do you have any idea?"

Tanya slowly discarded the waste bot body and quickly grabbing her staff she sneaks into the facility. With her one mission in mind, she kept to the shadows, but as she did, she kept a keen watch. As she moved, she stopped inside the computer room, one of many deep inside the complex.

Acting fast, she began to hack the computers, gaining not only information on the wear abouts of the Lab, but finding, to her horror, creations of disatserious proportions to be used against the Freedom Fighters. Tanks made of bladed saws and battle cannons, troopers bearing flame throwers, new kinds of robots to battle each freedom fighter, and many more.

As she quickly yanked out a disk to Download the information, she finds her target, a blue fox strapped into a tube of strange liquid with Robotink look in at him
"Soon...the one weapon to stop them all shall be mine...foolish fox...you will only bring the demise of those pathetic freedom fighters..."

Before Tanya could act, a swatbot grabbed her, and with a metal blow, knocks her unconcious

The Swatbots took Tanya to Lord Snively and his Swatbot Commander.

"You where caught looking though recording of Doctor Robotnik failed experiments and what are you looking for asked Snively".

"Countdown has started Sir reported the Swatbot commander".

"What do you mean, we should take a break?!?"

Sally, thinking about what she had just said, realized that it was non-sense. "Uh, I'm sorry guys, it must be the news tiring me up, I'm confused....We must........I think we.......we must end this war right now. Snively's going too far."

Sonic just took a deep breath. There was this little something in his eyes, that little something that meant we would have done it before if we were able to, exactly what he said. "Sally, if we go now like this, we won't come back!"

"Who cares, Sonic! Snively is going to launch some new weapons on us, and we'll die if we stay here! This forest will die too! We must stop him!"

"I know Sal, but who's gonna take care of Tails? Did you think about this for a sonic sec?" Sally was ready to say something, but she realized how foolish she was. Tails was the youngest of them all, but he incarnated what was beautiful in this world. Life, youth, innocence, he did not deserve to be in a war, so every Freedom Fighters tried to make each mission looking like something fun, or as a challenge, just to cool things off. Sonic almost died in a failed mission, but they continued to act cool only for Tails' sake.

"You're right", Sally finally said, "we need a plan. Now water is useless to stop Snively, but we'll need it in case fires start in the forest, so we'll have a team for that. The other team will have to sabotage most of the new equipment, with the help of Sir Charles. Sonic, you'll be in team A, your speed will be needed to stop the fires and you'll help to store water supplies. Rotor and Bunnie, you'll be in team B with me to the sabotage mission. Everyone else, it's your decision, but keep in mind that we should have the same number on each side if possible."

A lot of activity was taking place in Robotropolis as a massive Mechanized army began moving into positions.
Million of Mechanized Assault Flyer and hunter killer fighter bomber flew above Robotropolis like a angry swarm.

The SwatBot Commander stood beside Snively.

"Countdown is nearly ended Sir reported the SwatBot Commander".

"Good said Snively as he put on a gas mask".

A siren sounded as a horrible thick gas began to pour out toward the great forest.

Sonic sat alone with Miles in front of the main hut where the meeting happened ten minutes ago. Alone, because he was leaning on his fists, lost in his thoughts, which didn't occurred a lot to him.

"What's with the long face Sonic?" the little fox asked him, wondering what was so strong to disturb Sonic constant coolness attitude.

Sonic, coming out of his mind, looked at his young brother, answering "I don't know. I just have... a bad feeling about this. They all went away and I feel like it was the last time I saw them. Especially Sally.....but don't worry big guy, I'm pretty sure you'll understand when you'll get older! Now what we need to have is a men to men talk!"

"Aww, Sonic, you don't have to talk to me about that, Aunt Sally and Bunnie all told me about this!"

"....Not that talk Tails, I'm talking of being a freedom fighter! You know, it looks fun and great and all, but sometimes you gotta stay behind and do what they tell you to do....."

Miles, beginning his friend was really sick saying those words, confusedly asked him "But Sonic, you never stay behind, unless it's a critical situation!"

"I know..."

In fact, Sonic didn't stay behind in case of a fire. He stayed behind so he could bring Miles away if the others didn't get back after 2 days.

A massive cloud of poisons gas poured toward the great forest and Snively great Mechanized army was not far behind.
Setting fire to trees and plant life and beginning a great bombardment that shook the ground.

Nikolaus had gone for a walk near to the end of the great forest and saw the cloud of gas coming toward and run.
He run as fast as he could until he made it to Knothole Village, "Sonic, a great gas cloud is heading toward the great forest said Nikolaus".

"It looks like Snively finally decided to crush us once and for all said sally sadly, and we must stop him here or things will get worst".

[Thony Hedgehog]

"Gosh, I hope Sal's okay....."

"Wh.....what will you do, Sonic?" asked the afraid little fox.

"I'll do what I do best, big guy, I'll save the day once again! And you will too, Tails, bring me the power ring we kept in the meeting room, I'll create a wind so strong Snugley's giant nose will explode! Nikolaus, do you know where's Sally? I need you to tell her I'll take care of the gas, she'll know what do to next...."

As if they had the same mind, Sally was aside Snively, hiding in the small trees and bushes along with our four usual fighters, Dulcy, Bunnie, Antoine and Rotor. "What iz thees, my princesse? Green gaz?" Antoine was afraid as he always was, but this time he knew his time had come, as it came for all of his friends. "Yeah, sort of. Look at the trees! They're dying because of it!"

Hit once again by anger and confusion, our five fellows saw what humans were able to. Slowly, every trees who came in contact with the stinky, greenly gas began to rot, losing every single leaf, becoming dust in seconds! "Okay, here's the plan: I know Sonic will find a solution for the gas while protecting Miles, his speed will take care of that, we'll take care of Snively. We'll try to strike him and his bots by surprise where they are weaker, by behind, so Dulcy you stay hidden here until then. If we succeed, or if Snively catch us sneaking up on him, that's the time to give all that we've got! Antoine, take your sword, Rotor your laser gun and bombs for the ambush and Bunnie prepare your legs and arms. Now......I know this ain't the time, but it may be our last together, I just wanted to say I loved every single one of you as a sister should love her siblings. That was a great adventure living with you all."

"Ah, sugah-honey, you dan't have to..." our sexy bunny girl was suddenly interrupted by the one she was speaking to.

"Sorry, Bunnie, no time to argue, it's time to go, now!"
