Why the hate for Jazwares' Sonic figures?

What was so wrong with Jazwares' Sonic action figures? I've heard a lot of people say they were crap, but were they, really? I thought they were really good. Granted, I never had any, but I really liked how they look, and how they made available a lot of periphery characters from Sonic game lore. So, please, if anyone has/had any of them, let me know what you think of them.
