That's the idea. If it stays up forever, people have continued to edit their posts long after they made them, which creates a mess, so we give you a limited time to make changes or add to a post.tails wrote:Why does the edit button keep disappearing why can it stay up forever? You don't have to do anything about the current double posts, and if you accidentally post something twice in a row, a moderator like myself will delete the extra one. Just for the future, if no one has made a post after you, just use the edit button if you want to add to something you just said. If it's been a while, like a few hours to a day later, and you have something significant to say, double posting then is usually OK.
