I am Snow. I've been a SatAM fan since the very first episode I watched on TV back in the early 90's. Unfortunately I don't remember which exact episode it was (I think it was one of the first). I lived in Northern Alberta, Canada at the time and we had CTV. CTV however was notorious for suddenly cancelling Saturday morning cartoons, showing them out of order, or consistently changing the order of show times. None the less, despite their difficulty, I managed to watch every episode of both seasons. I believe I was 16 at the time when I was heartbroken to find out that Sonic was suddenly over. For a good while I simply thought that CTV decided that they had enough of the show and didn't bother showing any episode of the third season. I was heartbroken a second time in finding out that there was no third season. We had no interwebs at that time, so I was pretty isolated - information-wise.
I turned 40 recently, but I don't feel old. Nor can I forget this part of my life. The show was cheesy at times, but I was invested in the main story arc. I'm glad that after all these years the fandom continues. Age really is just a number. I look forward to when I have no teeth left and I 'gum' out to my grand kids, "Back in my day, we had Sonic the Hedgehog...". Future generations will be jealous of those of us who got to grow up with this magic.
